FAQ

International road transport can handle a wide range of cargo, including perishable goods, hazardous materials, oversized items, heavy machinery, and general freight.

The required documentation typically includes customs clearance forms, the CMR consignment note, insurance documents, and permits for specific cargo types, such as hazardous goods or oversized loads.

CMR insurance applies to international road transport and covers the carrier’s liability for loss, damage, or delay under the CMR Convention.
However, it does not cover the full value of the goods. Compensation is calculated based on the weight of the affected goods (around 8.33 SDR per kilogram).
If full value coverage is needed, separate cargo insurance should be arranged.
